I booked Sekar Nusa Villas after looking at their beautiful online photos and seeing their villas had private pools. They were also rated as a 4 star hotel... I will tell you right now if this hotel is 4 stars then I am actually a Tabby cat who has learnt to type online by watching human television.
These villas are almost all completely run down. Not as in they need some work, I mean the roof has literally collapsed and plants are growing through the walls. Walking through the overgrown pathways between the villas reminds you of a B grade horror film from the 80s. I would guess up to 80% of the estate is completely abandoned and I think there was only one other couple staying there with us.
To be fair the room they actually gave us wasn't too bad. The bathrooms are open air so get ready for frogs and lizards everywhere which I actually liked but most won't.
Ultimately the place is super cheap and the staff are very friendly. If you like privacy and think having an abandoned Balinese town to yourself is kinda cool then hey why not.
Worth it for one night for the lols then go to a real hotel.

I and my husband had booked a private pool villa.
As soon as we entered the place, it looked like a abandoned old haunted property.
The villa next to us was semi collapsed, and trees grown inside the villas, it actually was a haunted movie scene.
You will not find any sort of light when u travel at night and the receptionists were unprofessional, unfriendly. This is the First resort/villa were i heard restaurants are operational on weekends, i had to sleep hungry on the day of stay as it was a sunday and there is not restaurant close by.
Bath tub/pool were invaded by pests.
And intercom does not work.
