Lovely hotel with super friendly and accommodating staff. My room was old fashioned in the nicest possible way with a charming cast iron bath in one of the towers.
I sadly did not have the time to sample breakfast but I am definitely going to stay there again both on business and family trips.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at The Scotsman. The rooms were lovely (albeit one was much larger despite also being a ‘reporter room’). The staff were very helpful and always willing to help. My only slight negative is that it would have been nice to have more communal areas. It does state in the literature in the rooms that they have a bar, ‘The Front Page’, however this is no longer the case after searching for it and asking a member of staff. The Grand Cafe is nice, however it would be nice to have a separate bar.
