This was a perfect week at the most marvellous Hotel helped by the bright sunshine that enabled us to sit on our lovely balcony with a front uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean Sea and the picturesque town of Amalfi to our left.
Everything at the Hotel was perfect. The staff were wonderful at all levels, The breakfast had a wide selection of hot and cold items and individual cooked meals of whatever we asked for, We enjoyed sitting on our private pool area accessed by a lift carved in the rock that seemed to go down for ever. We were greeted by the pool staff with towels and wherever we wanted to sit with shade or sun. Every so often the staff would come and adjust our umbrellas so we could stay in the shade or get more sun
The inside of the Hotel was very pleasing on the eye especially at night when many candles were lit giving it a marvellous atmosphere The reception staff were always available to give us any help needed and there was a courtesy bus which operated totally on time every half hour which took us to the centre of Amalfi.
Can't think of anything negastive about this splendid hotel

The Santa Caterina Hotel is an outstanding hotel. The staff, especially the concierge is the best of any hotel where we've stayed. My luggage was lost, misdirected by United Airlines, and the concierge (Simone and Gennaro) took on the mission of finding and getting it to me at the hotel. I was so grateful for their courteous and diligent service. Scheduling tours, recommending places to visit, along with their handy shuttle service to and from Amalfi are some of the services the staff does each day making you feel like their most important guest. The rooms at the hotel are well appointed and the housekeeping staff is excellent. The breakfast buffet has everything you could ever want for breakfast and the Mare restaurant above the pool and overlooking the water is exceptional. And, the restaurant staff is very attentive. I can't say enough about how wonderful the Santa Caterina Hotel is. While I selected the type of visit as "couple" because it was my husband and me, the hotel has many families with all ages of children. There's something for everyone. We would definitely stay here again.
