Tranquil Spot

by Purplehaze_11

Very beautiful property on the edge of Urubamba. Our second stay in the same room. Decent breakfast. Spotty wifi. Ladies at the front desk were very sweet and helpful. My only complaint would be that we arrived at the locked front gate by moto taxi and the bellman was quite rude and asked if we had the right hotel. I guess he is used to people showing up in tour buses.

Cold

The hotel is quite old but charming. Ancient building of a former convent.
We stayed 1 night after visiting the sacred valley and fell short of our expectations. The gardens are beautiful, the building interesting but…

My room was a flat, it had stairs, the bed on top and a small room and bathroom on the bottom. Interesting design, but the room was cold… and we only had an oil heater to heat the entire area. Yes, mission impossible. The room wast cold all night even though the heater was on.

We had dinner at the hotel, as there were no other options in the surroundings, and although the offer was limited the food served was to our satisfaction.
The lighting in the dining room is very poor.

Breakfast is basic and starts early, good for those, like us, who need to go early to Machu Picchu.

The wifi was slow.
