History, relaxation, great food and hospitality, this place has something for everyone. Lynne is an unbelievable cook you'd think you were having breakfast at a 5 star restaurant. We've stayed twice in 2 different suites and loved them both. Nothing quite like sitting by a cozy fire that the early American settlers once used to cook their dinner. Plenty in the area to do and some great restaurants, even a brew pub or 2 not far away. A stay you won't regret.

We loved staying here, too bad we only had one night. Had a great night's sleep on a firm mattress in upstairs bedroom, made more interesting by the low ceiling hallway (ended by an even lower door) connecting to the bathroom. Made us feel like we were in a secret passage of the house. If left unescorted, you could get lost in the house your first time there. Luckily, the proprietor gave us a tour. She also provided a delicious breakfast of our request, great conversation and smiles all around. The two other rooms were booked by repeat customers, and after staying, I can see whay.
