My partner and I spent 5 amazing nights at Rumah Luwih resort, a truly great experience.
The staff arranged for a pick up from the hotel for a very reasonable charge (cheaper than local taxi), and we were greeted by the lovely Mira and other hotel staff. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome, seamless check in - your first impression is wow, the hotel is stunning - the grand stair case, huge chandelier and large, colonial style open spaces looking out to uninterrupted garden and beach views.
The rooms were excellent with ocean views, large comfortable bed, balcony and huge bathroom, with bath.
Hotel facilities were all top notch.
Food was good, the staff were all wonderful and so friendly, which was a really nice way to start the day. Fresh juices, amazing dragon fruit smoothies and buffet breakfast.
Hotel does day trips out to Sanur and Ubud, saving you money and giving you the option to leave for the day. Bikes are also available for hire for free from hotel.
The beach has black sand, it sparkles, worth the visit. Beach is mainly for surfing, we found the sound of the waves to be really relaxing.
Not around big tourist centres, was very relaxing and peaceful.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience, made all the more better by all the staff and hotel workers. Would highly recommend the Rumah Luwih and we are looking forward to one day going back.
