Overlooking Palm Springs, California, The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage opened in 2014 and offers 244 guestrooms and 16 suites, each outfitted with luxurious, yet family-friendly amenities, such as deep soaking tubs and separate showers, flat-screen TV’s and Wi-Fi access. Guestrooms are 450 square feet in size, and sleep up to four guests. All guestrooms provide private balconies or patios, with views of the surrounding mountains, courtyard, resort or large, yet cozy firepit. In comparison, Executive Suites are twice the size, and in The Ritz-Carlton Suites, triple the size. Like guestrooms, One-Bedroom Suites have private balconies and sleep up to four guests in a king bed and pullout sofa. The Ritz-Carlton Suites offer connecting areas, spacious living rooms, dining areas with room for six and separate pantries for private service entrance. Guests of The Ritz-Carlton Suites also receive Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge privileges, which include light fare served in the morning, afternoon and evening.
For a full meal, State Fare Kitchen (which has an adjacent bar) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a California flair. In Fall 2014, State Fare will be joined by The Edge, appropriately named for its cliff-side setting and adventurous steak and seafood offerings. Room service is also available, and while the hotel doesn’t offer a separate kids menu, it happily caters to the needs of your children.
Other resort features include a 24,000-square-foot spa for parents in need of a relaxing treatment, and swimming pools for the whole family to enjoy. And, like other Ritz-Carlton hotels, Rancho Mirage offers a Ritz Kids program, inspired by Jean-Michel Costeau and the natural wonders of the resort’s location. Kids can expect to learn about recycling and sustainability through storytelling, arts and crafts and food.

My wife and I went here for a light dinner and drinks. Everyone from the valet parking to the service was excellent. Ariel was our waitress. She took time to talk to us when she had the chance. Our service was prompt and on target.
Everyone at the Ritz treated every single person as if they were their most important client.
Our drinks were good, the food was excellent and the view at sunset was beautiful
We can’t say enough good about this place. We will be back

The Hotel was fine, the room was nice and clean. The staff were helpful. The problem was 3 months later, I get a charge for $350 on my credit card. I call the Hotel and I'm told that I was all paid up when I checked out 3 months prior. The young lady says I'll have the accounting department call you. 2 days later I get and E mail stating, " You extended your stay and we didn't charge you". I wrote back saying If I owed you for the extra day fine, but why did it take so long to figure out, and why would you not call me to get authorization to charge my card? I was told there were no outstanding charges, so I canceled my card thinking there was fraudulent activity. We are all wasting time , because you didn't have the courtesy to pick up the phone?
I have used this Hotel chain several times, and being newly retired had planned on several more times. I won't use them again. This is very poor business practice. I tried to find an email or contact for the Hotel management, to no avail. There is no contact anywhere for customer complaints?
