We splurged on a weekend get away to a spectacular location.
While you will be considerably lighter in the bill fold it is worth every dime. The weather cooperated and our drive to banff was pretty. We were met with friendly and accomodating staff. The service everywhere in the hotel was top notch. Friendly, attentive and helpful the entire weekend. The views from our room were breathtaking and would be hard to find anywhere else thanks to the big windows and our balcony. We walked to the gondola and enjoyed a great afternoon up at the top.
We also indulged in room service for breakfast. HIGHLY recommend this treat. Thanks to warming cart our food and thermos of fresh coffee came piping hot and exactly as ordered. Somebody knows how to make a perfect omelette too.
Because this was such a big splurge weekend it meant so much that it was relaxation and rejuvenating.
Bed was comfy,warm and inviting
The giant fire place in the main room invites you in for a drink
While the decor in the room was clean and comfortable it's starting to feel a little outdated. I expect next time we visit we could be in for a change.
If you need pampering and relaxation...you are worth the price.

I think in general they just treat you with indifference as you are a one of hundreds of people that enter their Hotel each day, this place lacks warmth and care. As the Hotel is way out of town and no shops or restaurants around I went into their Larkspur Restaurant for dinner.
The young lady who wiped down my table did not even speak to me or offer to get me a menu. I would not recommend you eat there, they took 30 minutes to take my order and it was not busy but they served other people that came in way after me.
To make matters worse the food made me sick all night, and I had Food Poisoning for the next five days.
It was the worse place in all my travels, I recommend you stay in a smaller place down in the lovely town of Banff where you will find plenty of choices for eating and better prices The only helpful person was the Bell boy.
