We have been coming to this resort for many years and if it wasn't for the wonderful amenities, we would have stopped due to the front desk treatment. Consistently calling prior to vacations to confirm rooms does absolutely no good year after year. This particular vacation had a power outage, which was nothing new, but had key card issues to where no one was issued a room key. So every guest was required to call security to hear ' it'll be a while' before being allowed back into their rooms sometimes waiting upwards of 20 minutes with no apology.-each time you needed to get back in!

I booked this hotel as a "same day reservation" and contacted the resort to inform about our special occasion. It was my birthday weekend and my friends & family cancelled their trip to visit us for a party that we had been planning for two months. I booked this hotel room on Friday oct 11 at 1AM and wrote an e-mail to Concierge to inform that it will be our first trip with our baby daughter (16 months). Hailey with concierge reached out to Assistant Resort Manager Nina and Nina personally contacted me via e-mail. After 7 hours of drive we reached the resort at around 9 pm and Aimee (I hope this is the correct spelling - She is from the Philippines) checked us in. She was very politely and explained some of the highlighted resort amenities. She also surprised us by handing $60 F&B voucher per Nina. What truly surprised us that she did not mention that Nina gave us an upgrade to a One Bedroom Terrace Suite until we walked into our room. What a pleasing surprise !!! It was a huge suite with full kitchen, balcony, great view, upgraded amenity ..( i cant go on and on). Thank you Nina to truly "Turn our moment into Memories". We will stay only at Ridge Resort whenever we will visit Lake Tahoe. We are coming soon and I will spread the word across my friends and family to stay at Ridge Tahoe if they visit South Lake Tahoe.
