This small boutique property is the renovated version of an 1854 rooming house, re-opened in 2008. It’s 2 miles from the town of Rhinebeck, and next door to the Rhinecliff Amtrak train station.

There are only nine rooms, all with flat-screen TV, whirlpool tub and shower, and Wi-Fi. Families of up to four people are allowed in the “Premier” rooms or suites, with the use of a futon sofa bed or air mattress. Two adults and one small child are allowed in the Hudson or River rooms, with a crib (available for a fee). All rooms have a private balcony, and either a full or partial view of the Hudson River. Because it’s a historic railway hotel, the train tracks are nearby, so train noise is to be expected.

Complimentary full breakfast is served in the “Bar,” a brasserie with a riverside terrace that also serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
