Located across from the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Yard House is a comfortable sit-down restaurant for families that isn’t overbearing or too fancy. With great views of the Ohio River, you can choose from more than 130 menu items and about as many beers. The Yard House serves American fusion cuisine from its extensive menu ranging from ceviche and street tacos to seafood, burgers, sandwiches and gluten-free and soy products. Even the kids’ menu has a little more to offer. Besides the standard hamburgers and hot dogs, kids can choose from Korean barbecue beef, chicken teriyaki and queso tacos. The truffle fries are worth ordering for the table.

There’s limited metered parking outside the Yard House, but plenty of garage parking is available at the Freedom Center. The Yard House is open daily at 11 a.m. Closing times vary.
