The restaurant gets its name from the tree right in the middle of the room. A massive pine tree, it was alive when the restaurant first opened in 1970, but sadly died a few years later. Still, how cool is it to have a tree inside the restaurant? The restaurant is equally cool because it is decked out with the Redford family’s personal art collection along with images from the 1972 classic “Jeremiah Johnson,” starring, of course, Robert Redford.
