Similar to the Rainforest Café, another Marketplace dining venue operated by the Landry’s restaurant chain, this animal-rich haunt features an over-the-top pre-historic theme, with massive animatronic dinosaurs, meteor showers, fiery explosions, an “ice cave” and even a dig site. Kids meals are a little overpriced, but a small fee to pay for the built-in entertainment. Healthy choices for children include chicken — both grilled and rotisserie. Waits tend to be long. Join the Landry’s Select Club in advance and receive priority seating. Kids can build their own stuffed dinosaur souvenir at an onsite gift shop.
