For a few scoops of fresh sugary ice cream atop a crispy waffle cone, make a date at Pumphouse Creamery, which just might serve the best ice cream in Minneapolis (depending on which locals you talk to). The cold stuff on offer comes from local cows and is made fresh on site. The place doesn’t offer a huge array of flavors (you’ll probably find less than 10 kinds of cream on the menu), but the ice cream is divine. Small “kiddie” scoops are available for young patrons.
