A staff person from Mount Vernon who lives in Alexandria immediately answered, “The Majestic!” when I asked which restaurant she loves best. Unfortunately I asked her after I left Alexandria, but if there is a visit in your near future, pen the Majestic into your schedule. All about wholesome cooking using seasonal produce, lunch and dinner menus are laden with fresh vegetables, seafood, burgers and steaks. The “Wee Ones” menu offers house-made sodas, organic apple juice, fettuccine (with red or butter sauce), a BLT and an old-fashioned PB&J (with house-made berry jam, of course).
