Maggie’s Krooked Café is unique in everything from its architecture (appropriately named for its lack of right angles) to its menu. Locals and tourists pack into this casual, eclectic spot, particularly for breakfast, Maggie’s most popular meal of the day. Kid-friendly options include eggs, French toast and pancakes. Lunch and dinner are also good, with an interesting selection of burgers, sandwiches and salads. Most entrees are served with what the restaurant calls “fries,” but are actually breakfast potatoes with peppers and onions. Maggie’s also serves a variety of healthy fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies. Open 7 days a week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Note: Many restaurants and bars in Tannersville and Hunter are closed or have limited hours when it’s not ski season. Maggie’s is always open, making it a reliable choice for hungry families.
