Longboards Laidback Eatery is based in Gold Coast’s famous Surfer’s Paradise district famous for the skyscrapers and beaches. It’s an American/Australian themed restaurant with a surfer theme. Longboards serves a popular ‘beach box’ from 11 a.m. so families can get takeaway meals to enjoy on the sand.

The menu is heavy on gourmet burgers, tacos and loaded fries, which will no doubt please teenagers. There is a children’s menu – ‘Little Grommets’ — which has popcorn chicken pieces, kids’ fish and chips and a cheeseburger slider.

For grown-ups or anyone whose eyes are bigger than their stomach, the ‘Hangover Platter’ of food makes a good sharing option for a table. The dessert menu features the very tempting Oreo donut sandwich and a Nutella Snickers brownie.
