Founded in 1996 in nearby Traverse City, Mich., this pie restaurant is a local favorite. Its famous for their cherry crumb pie, the signature dessert of the National Cherry Festival, held each summer in Traverse City. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner or you can just come in for pie and coffee. Kids can choose from a variety of sandwiches and soups, and there’s a limited children’s menu offering either peanut butter and jelly or grilled cheese, along with a fountain drink and blueberry applesauce for under $5. Be aware that the restaurant may have limited hours in the winter months.
