Taking the title of Iceland’s most popular health-food restaurant is Glo, a vegetarian-focused restaurant on the main strip of Laugavegur. Every day, there are four dishes offered: one raw food dish, one chicken dish, one vegetarian specialty, and one soup. The specials change daily — one day might be a vegetarian pesto lasagna and Indian chicken, the next is a raw pizza slice and nut steak, and the next mango chicken and Thai soup. The one offering that is always available is the wrap, which is filled with vegetables, pesto, and (optionally) chicken. You can view the menu on their website before you go (though you may have to run it through Google Translate first) to see if any of the day’s specials appeal to you.
