Since 1962 this family-owned restaurant has been serving food based on the recipes of Connie Thomas’ mother Josephina Chavez-Griggs. Jack and Connie’s place began as a one-room cafe. Sons Jim and John Thomas now operate the 1,000-seat restaurant located in Albuquerque’s north valley. The menu offers tacos, burritos, tamales, enchiladas and other traditional fare. The restaurant is known for its variety of chile sauces and salsa, which can be purchased at the restaurant or online.
