This Residence Inn Worcester is great for families visiting this part of Massachusetts, and Worcester offers much to enjoy in the way of shopping, dining and cultural attractions. A science center called the Ecotarium hosts interactive activities, as well as a planetarium and nature museum — the perfect daytime activity for the entire family. Make sure to get outside and check out Broad Meadowbrook Wildlife Sanctuary and the Tower Hill Botanic Garden, too. Five different golf courses are just a short drive away, and popular skiing areas are within 15 miles of the hotel. The hotel is perfect for extended stays, with home comforts such as full kitchens and one- or two-bedroom suites available. There’s free Wi-Fi to keep you connected throughout your stay and a complimentary breakfast is offered each morning, too.

We read that this hotel was recently remodeled and with the excellent reviews we decided to give it a try for an overnight lay over. We travel often and frequent hotels of this type and class and this one unfortunately is average at best. Hotel staff was kind, courteous and professional and very welcoming. Room was generally clean looking at first but very “tired”. It was clear to us that there was no recent remodeling done to our 2nd floor guest room. Wood vanity in dressing area terribly stained from water, frayed carpet, loose toilet seat, and black mold spots on caulking around bathtub. Large brown stain down wall in kitchen area next to coffee pot looked like an old spill never cleaned. Beds were lumpy feeling. This could be an excellent Residence Inn with some updating and repairs and more attention to detail with cleanliness.

We like to stay at Residence Inns. As at other Residence Inns, we had a comfortable suite although there were two drawers missing in our bathroom vanity and the corking around the bathtub had some black spots. If we were in the area again, we would consider staying here again. However, a couple of things really bothered us. The breakfast room is very small and dark. There is an area outside the breakfast room with a counter and stools where we had to eat one morning. One of the things we enjoy when we are away is having a leisurely breakfast together in comfortable surroundings which was not the case here. Another issue was the noisy heat which woke us up both nights.
