Just stayed three night here using our points. I debated between this place and courtyard down the street and finally decided on this place due to the free hot breakfast.
We had an excellent stay. We were in 601, a corner room which was nice and spacious. The full kitchen and microwave came handy for eating left over crepe and breakfast food. I slept in often while hubby got me some breakfast eggs, tortilla, salsa and spinach downstairs.
Hot breakfast was perfect especially because they have tortilla and salsa plus a fresh make yourself waffle station. Priscilla,Bianca, yadira all who work at the breakfast were all very attentive and helpful in refilling the food.
Location of the hotel was also perfect. Right in gaslamp. Everything is walking distance. We just ubered from airport and then walked everywhere. Hotel is on 6th so also a bit quieter than being on 5th.
Lobby is modern and smells pretty good. While not a new hotel, it was very comfortable - strong enough shower and comfy bed.
We will be back ;-)

Overall, not a bad stay.
Service was definitely the highlight, as is the location...right in the middle of downtown San Diego in the Gaslamp district. If you are unfamiliar with San Diego, this is a very happening area with tons of restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance.
My room (I was upgraded as a gold member) was tiny. I think the bed was a double and the room was tight. Decor is typical Marriott...a little bland and in need of a refresh.
I also thought the gym and pool were very small....definitely could be expanded. I wound up not using them.
Overall, the property is nice but could use an update. I felt there was really nothing special about the place..acceptable but no wow factor at all.
Not sure I’ll be back.
