Located just two miles from downtown Newport and its many mansions, this all-suite hotel is also situated near the Navy Base. Families will love being near the Cliff Walk and the Tennis Hall of Fame, too. After a day of touring the town, families can enjoy some quality time by the indoor pool. The kids will love to swim and play while the adults can unwind and relax on the surrounding lounge chairs. The studio, one- and two-bedroom suites feature king or queen beds, a sleeper sofa in a separate living room area and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, coffee maker, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave and small dining table. Cribs and rollaway beds are available upon request. The two-bedroom suites can sleep up to seven people comfortably. Complimentary Wi-Fi access can be found in the guestrooms, making it convenient for kids and adults to stay connected while traveling. The free hot breakfast buffet is a nice way for families to start the day with items like eggs, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, fruit and more. Pets are welcome at this hotel for an additional fee, so there is no need to leave any family members at home.

Easy check-in. Lots of free parking. Very friendly staff. Our standard studio with kitchen was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. Good fast wi-fi. We asked for a pet-free floor due to allergies.
Hotel was next to a Post Office & grocery store strip mall and an Applebys. Trail park was nearby & the fitness room was enough. Coin laundry was available. Nice that they offered a simple free breakfast buffet - we did not expect that. Easy ~10 minute drive into Newport. Half basketball court in the back - thought that was cool but we did not use it.
1st major cold spell of this fall season & the indoor pool with hot tub was closed our 1st night due to "additional chemical treatment needed". We were bummed but it was not a deal-breaker. Things happen. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub on the 2nd night. Our children enjoyed this hotel & the pool.
Common areas of the hotel were clean and tidy.
We will return here again in the future.

We used points to stay at the Residence Inn to save money on our weekend visit to Newport. The room was ready for us upon arrival, which was 4 hours earlier than check in time. The room was a spacious king suite with a kitchen and living room area. Free breakfast included some decent choices e.g. waffles, oatmeal, fruit & yogurt. The staff was friendly and helpful. Newport was lovely and lively. We had great weather. Took a sailboat, went to Gooseberry Beach and managed to find cheap parking in the city. If you are willing to do a little extra walking then you can find cheaper parking further away from the center of town. The beach was free since it was September. Had a great meal at The Mooring in Newport too! Don’t get ice cream at the Newport Creamery because it’s a letdown. It was full of ice and not creamy at all.
