The Residence Inn appears to be newer construction, our suite was well appointed and spacious, felt like home away from home, breakfast was adequate and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be our go to hotel when in Duluth again.

This has been our go to hotel in Duluth for many years since it opened. Such a beautiful hotel when it first opened but this last visit we were sadly disappointed with the condition of the worn furniture which I noticed has been complained about since 2015. Why with complaints that are repeated has this not been addressed you certainly don’t need to wait for a full renovation to replace some chairs I would think. Also when we first entered the room I noticed the bed was rather sloppily made the bed skirt was kind of tucked into the mattress not fully down to the ground and there was also a strong cologne scent in the room. We love this hotel it’s location it’s great if you have a pet lots of places to walk and it’s close to Cub which is right next-door whatever you need to eat or drink. I do believe that we will be searching for a newer facility now since you pay quite a steep price for a rather worn ambiance. Also unfortunate was the dust on all the surfaces in the room come on Marriott you can do better.
