Having stayed at the other Marriott properties near JMU before, I decided to try the RI this time. Overall it was awesome. Hotel seems fairly new, rooms were spacious, and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.

We spent a week here while visiting Shenandoah National Park. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The rooms were really nice, clean, and modern. The breakfast was great every morning - and they change up the meats and selections every morning. Coffee is fantastic. The indoor pool is really nice and big, and the hot tub/whirlpool is clean and HOT! Plenty of pool towels always available. The outdoor fire pit is fantastic. We sat out every night in the cool evening air, and enjoyed a late night cocktail by the fire. The location in Harrisonburg is great - very close to great restaurants, shopping, and even a mall! Only 23 miles from Shenandoah National Park for some amazing hiking, dining, and Skyline Drive. Washington DC is only 2 hours away, and the highlight of our trip was a full day at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello - only an hour drive away. The next time we come back to Harrisonburg, we will definitely call The Residence Inn our “Home Away From Home.”
