This all-suite apartment-style hotel on the eastern edge of Abilene is ideal for a big family that needs space and privacy. The biggest suite features two separate bedrooms, each with a queen bed, but one also includes a queen sleeper sofa. There’s plenty of space left over for a crib or rollaway. Best of all, there are two bathrooms, so evening and morning routines won’t take quite so long. Every suite includes a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop, oven, microwave, sink, and a decent collection of dishes and utensils. There is a sparkling outdoor pool, cozy hot tub, and a covered patio with BBQ grill and lounge chairs. Other amenities of the hotel include free Wi-Fi, fitness center, laundry service, a free hot breakfast, and free beverages and snacks three evenings a week.
The Residence Inn is located just a few miles from Abilene Christian University, in a quiet area not far from the interstate. You can walk to several casual chain restaurants in the area or make the short drive into downtown Abilene to explore its trendy local eateries. The historic downtown area is filled with kid-friendly museums like Frontier Texas and the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature. For real live history, however, make the 20-minute drive south to Buffalo Gap Historic Village, a collection of 15 authentic buildings that show what life was like on the Texas frontier over 100 years ago. There are plenty of other things to do in Abilene, all quickly accessible from your hotel. With its large suites and friendly amenities, the Residence Inn is a fine choice for your family vacation to Abilene.

Let me first say - the staff was super kind from the breakfast lady to the front desk ladies. However, the room needed some work. There was other people’s hair everywhere! Not a fan! The sheets were also too loose on the bed and kept coming off. The towels felt damp and some had stains on them.
The grounds of the hotel looked nice, and it was in an easy to access location. Oh, one more positive - the shower had great pressure.

My wife and I decided to stay here on our trip to Abilene and this hotel was excellent. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We got a great room at a fair price. The room itself was clean and spacious. The hotel is easily accessible from I-20 at Exit 288. We would definitely stay here again.
