Centrally located along the waterfront, this older hotel caters to corporate clients, but families are still welcome. Parents with little ones will appreciate being walking distance from restaurants, the aquarium and the Queen Mary. Kids and teens should appreciate the Ping Pong table, bean bag toss and Jenga games on the pool deck, as well as the swimming pool. Guestrooms come with a choice of one king bed or two double beds. Rooms come with mini-fridges, but in-room Wi-Fi is an additional charge.

We had traveled from NZ and were looking forward to staying at the hotel. It is a good spot in Long Beach - 10 minutes walk from the Pike shopping mall and the beach and handy to most other things. Modern hotel with a modern standard hotel room. On check in we were informed the pool was closed for repair for the entire time we were there. This was very disappointing as this was not advertised anywhere and we were not told about this at anytime in the months leading up to us arriving. I checked the website that day and still no mention of the pool being closed. Interestingly the pool was cleaned and opened for a private party the night before we left and the next day but was still not open for hotel guests to use. We were offered use of The Westin pool which was a block away. We did that one day but that pool is in the shade all afternoon so wasn't great.
The room was comfortable and had usual standard amenities. Pillows were very soft feather pillows and we asked for pillows that 'didn't disappear' when you slept on them. Four more pillows, just as soft were given but at least we had more now.
I had ordered two pairs of shoes on Amazon to be delivered to the hotel whilst I was there. Small standard boxes arrived and we were told it was $5 for each box for shipping and handling.... they had them for an hour and just passed them to me. I have never heard of such a silly charge. Also wifi is $14.95 USD per day which is ridiculous nowadays. Due to the extra charges, the lack of pool facilities for our entire stay we would not stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our brief stay at this lovely property in the heart of Long Beach. It is an ideal lunch spot for everything in the downtown area and the shoreline marina. The staff was very courteous and professional and cared about their job and the guest experience. Really pretty interior and fun bar atmosphere. We will stay here again next time in town.
