We spent two nights at this Red Roof and it was pleasant enough. When we got to our room, the maintenance guy had left some equipment inside. We took it to the front desk, so not a huge deal. I asked the front desk for a couple extra pillows that never came. I was also told the wrong time for breakfast and no one seemed to actually know the hours it was open. We missed breakfast the first morning, but made it the second one. Breakfast was just okay. The eggs were mush and the bacon was oddly paper thin. I’d never seen bacon cut like that. The biscuits and gravy were good though.
We did get to enjoy the outdoor fire pit for awhile and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff didn’t know information that they should have, but they were nice and friendly. I would stay here again.

One night stay for a U of M hockey game. Have had a good run with Red Roofs all over the place, lately. I wouldn't call this one a hit or a miss, maybe a foul ball. I went to check in. There were 3 employees behind the counter debating the policies of the venue and questioning whether they were going to continue their employ. Yes, in front of me. And none of them knew how to check me in, that person was in laundry. When that clerk finally arrived, she openly complained that she should have stayed home sick today. Seems nobody wanted to work here, or take care of the customers. Finally got our room. It was a little smaller than other Plus rooms, but it was clean and no bugs. Ice machine was a little inconvenient, but it worked. Breakfast wasn't that great, everything was cold (including the coffee), but the attendant was great. Personable and worked her butt off. If in the area again, would probably choose elsewhere.
