Just returned from Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan for two weeks of leisure and relaxation. We were pleasantly pleased with the courtesy we received from the front staff (Patty & Cindy). They arranged for our group (4 couples) to be roomed close. We received great service from Jorge Luis Zamora Sarabia who we meet throughout the day.He accommodated us with towels and cleaned the pulapas for our usage. We felt welcomed

I’m updating my review because as usual impressed with all the staff, especially Patti Sanchez Moraila She always makes us feel like we are back home and handles all our wishes perfectly. My last year’s review below still applies but with the new remodel I thought I mention how things are here. While the old style has changed the old style treatment and attitude by the front staff still is wonderful. From the greeters who grab your bags to the check in staff , Patti, Sofia, Cindy ...they all really do seem like extended family. THEY are the reason we come back every year. When Mom and Dad bought in around 1991 they found a great resort. Thanks to them and the consistent excellent staff we get to have paradise every year.
)))))))) old review below)))))))
Mom boogie boarded this Great beach for many years. Find her on YouTube (old lady boogie board Mazatlan). I too have come for over 10 years, for the beach, the food, but mainly for the staff who are my friends, seem more like family.
When we arrive they all say Welcome Home. That is really what it feels like. They all are so friendly, weather it’s bringing drinks by Oscar, Alfredo, or Antonio? ..or setting up activities by Jazmin G. or Carlos.....or serving food by Gonzalo or Ernesto or many others. They all make life at PB Mazatlan simply wonderful. We had booked our usual 2 weeks in late October, but I added an extra week to see more friends. Then we found some new restaurants so heck I changed my plans and added 4 more days. And for that WOW, all 3 folks at reception-Patti, Cindy, and Sophia were totally helpful. I got to stay in my same room on the second floor. Most excellent. Even had my usual wonderful maid-Lupita who is always able to step over my boogie board and fins, PLUS hang up some orange shirts to dry.....yup, she gets me organized! Gracias to all.
And yeah meanwhile the renovation is progressing. It is exciting and really not very bothersome, they are doing half at a time. Yes Cilantros is closed but the food continues to be great at the main restaurant, still, the best omelette bar by Omar ....perfecto.
My favorite beach food is quesadilla with camarones and mushrooms, brought to me by my amigo Juan, who knows everything. Of course if it is the weekend I always go up the beach to Rosa’s for huge shrimp cocktail and Cocos by Javier.
So see....all the beach vendors ....such as Lenard and Auturo G. who rents the boards....well they All are part of the Pueblo Bonito scene that we all know and love. I really think I will have to come back again say in February for the reopening of Cilantros....maybe they will have a special celebration.
Actually that is my point ==> really any time you show up it Feels like a special celebration, a Homecoming. That’s why I’ll always return to Mexican Home.
