The Prytania Park Hotel is close to the National WWII Museum, Louisiana Children’s Museum, Audubon Zoo and Park, dining, shopping, tours, parks, cultural and historical attractions.
For accommodations, families will particularly like the loft rooms, the two queen with a queen bed in the loft, the queen twin with twin beds in the loft, the queen junior suite with a living area and sleeper sofa and the main bed in a loft as well as the master suite with two queen beds, two bathrooms, a dining table for four, living area, and a sleeper sofa. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, and most have microwaves and refrigerators.

This was our fourth stay at Prytania Park and we were looking forward to an experience comparable to our prior three stays, one over Mardi Gras. First on the positive side, the location of Prytania Park cannot be beat, not only for Mardi Gras, but anytime. Just one half block from the St Charles Streetcar line (normally an access point for the entire city), just blocks from the Garden District and across the street from an excellent pizza joint. The private secured parking is a distinct plus. Past visits were enhanced by friendly personnel on the front desk and housekeeping, but not this time. Brusque and curt marked the day, so unfortunate. I can only echo an earlier review "clean your rooms people", the standard of housekeeping has dropped markedly. Inattention to housekeeping details are obvious throughout the unit (we were staying in the "master suite"). Also on the housekeeping tally, one day our unit was missed entirely, on two other days the main level was freshened but the upstairs, including the upstairs bathroom was untouched. Upstairs, bathroom linens were left on the floor and new linens were not provided. Fortunately, one of the days we returned early and were able to have bathroom linens delivered from the front desk. For the sake of completeness, the beds are very comfortable and the utility systems (heating, plumbing, electricity) all worked properly. In sum, were it a Mardi Gras stay, I would choose Prytania Park again but will be looking for another boutique hotel for casual visits to New Orleans.

First of all, I love the location of this hotel, just over one block away from the trolley stops taking you into the French Quarter or farther into the Garden District. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to a conference my son was attending. The hotel is old, I loved it. Double queen had a spiral staircase up to another queen bed. So cool. Our carpeting and a chair were stained some, but they are in the process of renovations! No complaints from me. I found the room clean, the bed super comfortable, the housekeeping staff were polite, a couple of days I only asked for towels to be exchanged and trash removed, because it was more convenient for us. The staff in the lobby were helpful as well. The breakfast in the courtyard....was simple, but enough! You are in NOLA, people!!! Food galore! There are also MANY good restaurants within a three or four block walk. We were there Sunday thru Friday and found the hotel and guests quiet. They also do not charge for parking. Believe it or not, that’s a HUGE savings, as most hotels charge upwards of $50 per day. I will stay here again on return trips.
