Within a short walk of Playa Norte and the ferry docks, where visitors arrive from Cancun, this large hotel fronting a beautiful beach on Mujeres Bay offers a free daily buffet breakfast to all guests and the option to upgrade to all-inclusive packages that include all meals, drinks and 24 hour room service. There are three restaurants and bars onsite. And while the hotel primarily caters to couples and adults, kids and families are made welcome here, too. Rooms range from the standard variety to suites with separate living and sleeping areas and superior rooms with Jacuzzis on the balconies.

Booked a standard room with street view. The room was fine until it rained and woke up with a large amount of water on the floor and under the bed wetting all of the bags and belongings that were on the floor. The location was great. Very short walking distance from the ferry. The beach was beautiful with no seaweed and pools were great.

Location, pool/beach, close to other bars/restaurants and shops, and pool staff.
Dislikes:
-Food/restaurant options. The buffet Sabor was not open and under construction. The construction would also start between 7:30-8 am in the mornings waking us up. What was available for food was a la carte at the beach club or Satay. Very upsetting to find out that from night one, we were never going to be seated with our whole group of 9. The manager/host at beach club said they could only seat that many at breakfast or lunch and same went for Satay. And when you would go to beach club, you always had to be seated and sign the check before leaving. Most of the time we were waiting forever on the food and tickets. Room service was also advertised 24hrs but no one would ever answer. We had to walk down to the lobby one night and was told there is only one worker for room service that takes the calls and will also deliver the food. So if the call is not answered, it's due to him delivering food.
-Communication from the resort was lacking. The lobby was closed and relocated due to construction halfway through our trip and we were notified one day prior. On the last day before checkout, we woke to a paper under the door stating all the rooms would be fumigated from 10-4 that same day. The staff at the lobby and front desk seemed to be more annoyed anytime a request or question was asked. While in the lobby we overheard another couple attempting to check in and was told there was no honeymoon suites left even though they had booked a honeymoon suite months ago for their actual honeymoon. Not sure how this hotel even advertises 5 star resort considering the lack of food options and quality of service.

Prettiest blue waters I've ever seen and can see straight to the bottom virtually seaweed, shell and rock free. Can walk to the buoy and be neck deep or less. Went in october and plenty of loungers. It's all about the food, right? (not really but that's why we did all inclusive) 1st they should state Sabor is under construction and only restaurant option outside of Beach club is Satay (book the day before) We did not enjoy Satay. Sushi and maki were bland, steak was weird texture possibly boiled, but we found one of 4 desserts tried to be really good with chocolate mousse I believe. We heard chicken fried rice was good but I don't usually eat that and didn't try. Rice noodles and shrimp tempura were good. They have 24 hour room service included in all inclusive. Beach club/room service: The penne was awful but the salads were good. Guac was usually good and salsa (they didn't always have available and would bring different ingredients in salads depending on what was available). Breakfast and dinner had lots of pastries some pretty good. Enjoyed tuna salad and creme brulee alot. Red snapper was good when they had menu dinner option as well as chocolate dessert. Made to order meat for dinner and eggs for breakfast but no spices. They had cool performances for dinner but no schedule that we were aware of - fire/bubble performers, saxophonist, violinist and guitarist. They actually drank the beer from the mini fridge the 1st day (LOL) instead of stocking it so we had to ask. Included mini vodka, bourbon and whisky bottles, I believe (I didn't drink but friends mostly chose the pina colodas). Nice toiletries including toothbrush, shower cap, bath salts, shoe shine and makeup/q-tip/emery board. The 3 person room was lovely and huge (burner tops but no pans/dishes and 2 coffee mugs, glasses, umbrellas, and robes but I'm sure we could ask for more if we cared) on 2nd floor (they call it the 1st floor) but the 5th floor 2 person room smelled of mildew.nWe left the door open and turned off air which made it go away but Karaoke bar noise traveled up late into the night. The bed was comfortable so we didn't mind. Next to cemetary but that didn't bother us. It's pretty in a way with bright colors. We didn't use the jacuzzi or pool much though swim up bar was nice but ocean was so much nicer. The staff was of course wonderful and made us want to tip them but we didn't bring much money to do so since we spent all our money to go. LOL.
We didn't use spa because they offered massages on beach for $30/hour and they were good in hut houses. Somewhat intimate on beach removing bras but after they start rubbing they rub your cares away. We booked snorkel trip for $45 with fish and boat ride but could have booked cheaper elsewhere just wanted to make sure who we went with was environmentally conscious. It had 3 swim outs including underwater museum with awesome English speaking guide (the person that picked us up mostly spoke Spanish and between our minimal spanish and his minimal English, we were able to follow). We rented a golf cart from ppe's but wish we asked for a fast one 1250 pesos for 24 hours vs 1000 for 1 day (closed 7 pm) which was 60-70$ USD through hotel. Checked out south point which was beautiful and Case de los suenos SW allows free (refundable deposit closes 5 pm) water activities (snorkel, paddle board and large blow up float jump off as well as pool) with 300 pesos meal per person. Food was massive and good (burger, plantain, guac, apple walnut salad). Somebody recommended Mango cafe but we had all inclusive and didn't get to try. Lola Valentinos had good guac plantain appetizer and steak tacos were ok but vegan burger and cactus tacos were weird. Usually 30 to 40$ USD for 2 person meal on island. We also went to turtle conservation/hatchery. Don't buy the food they are all overfed but fun to see for 30 pesos or $3 american. We only went south one day with only 5 mile island mostly lounged on beach and most of island is cliffs so if you want a beach you have to stay on north/northwest side of island. We didn't find salsa or Mexican dancing on island. Mostly reggae/alternative funny enough. We were offered pot on multiple occasion but no creepy men or overt gestures. Everyone on the island seemed fairly friendly, fun and polite. Laid back feel. We really enjoyed.
Travel to Ultramar ferry 600 pesos round trip (maybe 25 minutes from airport) with car service offered through Yurinn and we walked to hotel no problem (7 min north on sidewalk along beach). Ferry doesn't leave until 6 am so we had to spend the night in cancun to catch our flight. The hotel was gracious when we switched from 2 to 3 person room (2 separate reservations) and let us keep our bracelets for all you can eat that day and kept our bags up front for us.
