We stayed four nights after a whim, somewhat late decision to go maine in fall. Hotel reservations were hard to come by and while this wasn’t my first choice, we were happy to get reservations and pleased with our stay. Think we got the only room available at the time. While the room and bathroom were very small, the room (and surrounding property) is very well maintained. Maid service reliable and very sweet upon interactions. Indeed all staff were quite personable and accommodating. Parking is an issue in downtown Bar Harbor, so having a room a few blocks away (walking distance!) from the main drag with free parking was a huge plus.... but leads to our only recommendation. Having designated parking by room number would be helpful ....because I’m pretty sure some folks parked there a few times who weren’t actually staying. It only affected us once and briefly, and that was the only mar to an otherwise very lovely stay.

Stayed for two nights in the cute little cottages - the location is walking distance to everywhere in town and only a 10 min drive to the nearest hiking area.
The staff were friendly and informative.
The room was spacious and clean. The bed was a little droopy in the middle which isn’t the best for two people sharing a bed but it wasn’t the worst...
highly recommend staying!
