I’m a huge fan of the Premier Inn and Hub hotels, but this is one of their second rate ones. As noted by others, it’s badly under staffed and the staff they do have are not exactly welcoming or hospitable. I arrived early, and was told by the surly girl on the desk it was too early to check in and I could leave my bag. When I asked her to try and find me a room as it’s a huge hotel, she did so, but I don’t see why I had to ask. The good London Premier Inns, like Tower Bridge and Old Street have lists of available rooms at the check in desk and nothing is ever too much trouble for their amazing friendly staff. The room was ok, but it had an adjoining door and I could hear every word through the door. Dismal sound proofing here. I slept great but was woken up by housekeeping staff knocking on doors before 9 am. Check out time is 12, so this is totally unacceptable.
As noted by others, the lifts are inadequate for such a large hotel and waits are painfully slow. Check out was useless as again there was only one surly girl on the desk and a large line of people. I just left my key in the box, though I had wanted to make a complaint about the poorly sound proofed adjoining door and the housekeeping staff waking me up.
This hotel needs a good boot up the behind by Premier Inn Head Office. Just like the Islington one, I didn’t enjoy my stay and I won’t be back!

This hotel is in a great location if you want to be in north London and is very accessible by tube. The rooms are small but adequate and the sound proofing is very good. However, I found the room much too warm at night and the thermostat only goes between 19 and 28 which seems ridiculously hot. The windows do not open.
My main issue is with the check in and check out process. I had checked in on-line but on arriving at the hotel (on Saturday afternoon) the reception desk was unstaffed and all three terminal were showing "out of keys". There were several other people waiting to check in and in the end the lady behind the bar (who seemed to be the only member of staff on duty) came and checked us in.When I came to leave on Monday morning the reception area was chaos as there was no staff at the desk and lots of people trying to check in or out. After waiting for some time and being repeatedly told by the serving staff in the breakfast area that someone would be coming soon I just left my keys on the desk. Unfortunately, the delay meant that I missed my train.
