A very warm homestay in Quito

Yolanda was a very caring and warm host who took care of us when we were staying in Quito. I remembered when we woke up, she was already trying to prepare breakfast for the guests. She was putting cranberries in the mixer and cutting some local fruit. The breakfast was nice, and also were the bunk beds. We felt welcomed and took care of in many ways. the price then was USD12 per night for two. It was very cheap. I recommend people to stay at Posada Tambuca when you are in Quito. Easy cab ride to the Quito old town. Nice home stay in Quito city.

Don’t overlook this gem

I recently spent 3 weeks here and I couldn’t be happier. The “hosts” are the best people you could ever meet: welcoming, thoughtful, kind, efficient and fun. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is great, on a quiet street and not too far from everything; easily accessed by foot, bus and trolley (buses and trolleys are one block away).
The wifi worked perfectly and the breakfasts were the best with freshly made juices, fresh fruits, fresh breads, good coffee and granola and eggs.
It’s an amazing value in every way.
