The PortBlue resort offers families two wonderful things, a children’s entertainment program and a serene adults only area. Thanks to prime location near the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and cycling trails, this property is ranked as one of the finest in Majorca for people who love to travel on two wheels. But guests don’t have to leave the resort to find an activity or exercise they love as there are a variety of sports available including a football pitch, six tennis courts, putting green, a pair of volleyball courts, indoor, outdoor and children’s pools, as well as squash, table tennis and a multi-purpose sport court. Three room family suites come standard with a separate bedroom with 2 beds or double bed on request, and a separate lounge with 2 sofa-beds, a SMART-TV, free WiFi, a full bathroom with hairdryer and amenities, a/c and heating, refrigerator, plus your family will be greeted with a welcome pack of water, wine and nuts is provided on arrival.

Our visit this year was even more enjoyable than last. Set between the beach (good for water-sports, not swimming) and nature reserve, the resort is well laid out with trees, ponds, and safe paths. We were there with family including 2 grandchildren under 2 and there was enough to do for 10 days, especially if you take advantage of the free daily bus to local beaches or use the regular island buses which are inexpensive. The children's playground works well but is ageing and we understand will be updated before next season. The children's pool areas are heated but the 2 adult pools are not, but given the temperatures the island enjoys this is not an issue. No waterslides. The food is wonderful and served in either the family dining area or the adults only restaurant, both buffet style. Our daughter is gluten and dairy free and the chefs were hugely accommodating to her. The staff are friendly, often funny and very hard-working and give a welcoming atmosphere. The Spa is superb and available free to guests. Occasional 'visitors' from the nature reserve have included beetles and mosquitos so take insect repellent. The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Excursions arranged easily by the hotel desk as well as local information.
