This place has been around forever. The big wing back chairs have been in the lobby for 40 years or more. The lobby is really special - but unfortunately, the rest of the hotel is just shabby. It needs an update so badly! Upgrading some fixtures and furniture in this place would go a long way towards making it a desirable destination again.

We had a function nearby and this seemed to be the only hotel within a reasonable distance.
When we entered the hotel lobby, there was a bad smell, but did not know what it was. I don't believe it was any one thing, but most likely due to the old wood or other material as the hotel was built in the early 60's. The front staff was pleasant,. the bathrooms need an upgrade, and the French doors in the rooms need more than just blinds, but a curtain system to block the light out. The breakfast was severely lacking. Also, the air conditioner kept turning off and on at abrupt moments and was loud.
