Located on Florida’s East Coast, Ponte Vedra is aobut 40 minutes south of Jacksonsville and 40 minutes north of St. Augustine. The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, which is part of the Ponte Vedra Beach Resorts that includes the Lodge & Club, offers the full spectrum of a luxury resort, but with a casual feel.
Of the two resorts, the Inn & Club is considered to be more geared towards families. The oceanfront property, which includes miles of white sandy beach, does not forget about the green either, with its two, 18-hole golf courses. Kids will love the pools and waterslide, playground in the sand and numerous kids’ activities.
There are several accommodation options; whether your family is looking for ocean or golf views, a kitchenette or lots of space, the Inn & Club has what you are seeking. The onsite restaurants offer casual, beachside dining, as well as formal dinners, with all options in between. Reviews

This is a very nice resort, but the facilities just aren’t 5 star worthy. They need some upgrading. The bed was comfortable. The beach front room had a modern bathroom, but was otherwise dated. The staff here are all very friendly and attentive. Room service was fast. Did not use the pools due to weather. The hot tub was nice as was the pool side bar. See separate review of Seahorse restaurant. I would give an overall rating of 4.5.

It was a spontaneous trip, and it could not have worked out more perfectly. The staff arranged the ideal room for me. The accommodations were beautiful and restful, even with construction taking place. Special thanks to Alex Shami, Concierge Supervisor who was incredibly helpful and who made me feel right at home. My server at dinner, at the restaurant by the adult pool was also fantastic. I'm sorry I cannot remember his name. Thank you for a much needed rest.
Family Activities
Beach
Families can enjoy miles of white sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, which is only steps away from many of the guestrooms at the Inn & Club. Beach chair and umbrella rentals are available, as well as paddleboard and kayak rentals. There is no beachside food or drink service, but guests are only steps away from beachside restaurants where they can order and then eat on the beach.
Pools
There are four, heated swimming pools, including one Family Pool, at the resort. The Family Pool is zero-entry and ideal for kids with its waterslide. A smaller baby pool is nearby as well. Numerous lounge chairs surround each pool deck so parents can enjoy just as much as the kids. Pool towels are provided and lifeguards are on duty during the summer months. Poolside food and drink service is available in season.
Kids Camp and Activities
In the summer months, a summer camp for ages 4 to 12 is available for nine weeks. Camp involves themed weeks and lots of outdoor and indoor time. Three sessions (full day, morning or afternoon) are available. Kids can learn about sea turtles and watch them nest, create a craft, build a sandcaste or decorate a cake during camp.
Throughout the year, several children's activities take place at the resort. Fun pajama or pizza parties, storytime, scanvenger hunts, arts and crafts, movie nights and games galore are always happening around the resort, and parents just need to check the rotating schedule. Many of the activities take place in the Recreation Room, located only steps away from the beach and pools. Reservations for camp and the activities are recommended, as only 20 to 30 kids can participate in each daily activity.

Families will find 15 clay tennis courts ready and waiting to be played at the Inn & Club. A pro shop sits in front of the tennis courts offering plenty of equipment, clothing and court times. Tennis camps are available to children in the summer months and junior lessons are always available by appointment.
Beach volleyball is available to guests and there is a small putting green area around the resort's main entranceway fountain. Bicycles are available for rent, as well. A large, sandy playground area with swings and slides can also be found by the pools and beach, and is located next to the Atlantic House guestrooms building.
Fitness Center
The expansive fitness center overlooking the ocean offers numerous cardio and weight machines, free weights, personal trainers and a plethora of fitness classes, with more than 50 offered each week.
