I had been hearing and seeing a lot about the Plymouth and tried it out with some friends just for one night. I loved it! It's very clean, the staff is really friendly, and the sushi is tasty. The pool is really private and cute, I love that it's smaller. The cushions on the lounge chairs are also very comfortable (very important!). The one weird thing is that at least in the room I was in, a double queen, the sink and shower are separated. Other than that, I recall the beds being really comfortable. The only negative to note would be that the valet was not very helpful. We had to squeeze ourselves into a spot right in front, and he took forever to come out and help us with our bags. The valet is a third party company, however, so that could be part of it. I would love to stay here again for more than one night on a little staycation! They also have Molton Brown products, and their "mini bar" goodies are well curated (although expensive, to be expected a little bit). I'm all about the small details, and I think this place does it well.
I also think the location is great, because it's not on the busiest corridor, but is also super close to the beach. The part of the beach it's closest to is a really nice part of Miami Beach, where the wooden boardwalk is. You're proximate to some of the nicest hotels to pop into, the Bass Art Museum is across the street, and a great dive bar called Sweet Liberty is two blocks away.
