I booked the hotel as part of a conference package. Lousy weather meant that I never left the building while I was there, but the friendly and efficient staff made my stay sunny - from the front desk crew, to the cleaning staff, to the restaurant workers, to the random security guy I met in the elevator, all were brimming with good cheer and helpfulness.
My room was large and comfortable, with choices of pillows. The mattress was a bit soft for my taste, but the bathroom was perfect and the room was fine.
The hotel restaurant/bar offered good food and drink at reasonable prices, and I also visited the Starbucks in the adjacent building. I left with a positive feeling about Pittsburgh and about the Marriott brand.

Marriott staff queens Desirea, Tonya, and Ceda and King Larry (valet) were so pleasant and helpful in making our stay the best. They are obviously very happy employees as they smiled, had pleasant conversation skills and offered to go above and beyond.....good ‘ole school white glove treatment without the Ritz price.
They are a great representation of and first impression for this hotel. They prove that it cost nothing to smile and be nice, yet it is priceless in today’s day and age. I recommend this hotel.
