Overview

This converted dairy barn has a family-friendly atmosphere, with a range of rooms and onsite activities available. Every room is uniquely decorated to reflect the Alaskan lifestyle, from fishing to dog sleds to Eskimo artistry. Ideal for a large family is The Alaska Heritage Suite, which includes three queen beds, a full kitchen and in-room laundry facilities. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, BBQ grill, free breakfast and several fun common areas. Kids will love hanging out in The Midnight Sun Room, with its pool table, foosball, board games, puzzles and sauna. Everyone will want to lounge in The Aurora Room, an all-glass gazebo perched high on the roof of the B&B, where you can sit by the fireplace and gaze at the stars.
Pioneer Ridge is located on a ridge overlooking the valley about 4 miles east of downtown Wasilla. You’ll find a large number of restaurants and stores within a mile or two of your hotel. A large grocery store nearby makes it easy to stock up on ingredients for in-room meals. Several of Wasilla’s most popular attractions are within 15 minutes of the Inn, including the Museum of Alaska Transportation and the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Museum. Kids will never want to leave Alaska Live Steamers, a 20-acre park where they can ride miniature trains through the woods. However, make time to drive north into the mountains to visit the Independence Mine State Historical Park, site of a large abandoned gold mine. With its fun family atmosphere and beautiful location, the Pioneer Ridge B&B is a great choice for your vacation to Wasilla.

This place was wonderful - service, decor, location, breakfast, everything. The hostess was genuinely warm and the inn was cozy and comfortable. We stayed in the Alaska Room which was basically a whole apartment (including full kitchen and washer/dryer) unto itself. There was also a game room with board games, books, and a pool table as well as a second story room with wonderful views. I completely recommend this place.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay. Amanda and her husband were the most amazing hosts. Breakfast was delicious with so much variety. There was coffee and snacks all day long! Just the most perfect laid back atmosphere, perfect for a vacation. I would go back in a heart beat and would suggest it to anyone!
