If your family likes affordable ski getaways, this is the place for you in the Catskills. Gracious hosts and good food are the calling cards for this historic, lodge-style hotel in the Catskills that originally opened in 1882. The common room has roaring fireplaces, and the bar and two restaurants know what to serve to keep you going before and after a day on the slopes. The property is 3 miles from Belleayre Mountain and 20 miles from Hunter Mountain. Belleayre, the oldest ski center in the Catskills, offers many events during all seasons for non-skiers.

The 25 rooms are modest, but cozy, with cheerful quilted bedspreads, private bathrooms and televisions. Most have two double or queen-sized beds. Your accommodations include a free continental breakfast. Packages are frequently offered that include lift tickets and there are lower rates for mid-week stays.

Good location from which to explore

Good meals served at bar and good coffee and cookies in cafe. Small rooms and if you are tall check the length of the bed, the height of the bathroom doors and shower ceiling. We had two flights of steep narrow stairs, being able bodied is essential.

Back to Catskills after 26 years

Hotel OK, a bit rustic charme. The restaurant and breakfast buffet is run by a family who put all of their pride into it. The rating above is clearly meant for them. Expect modern, high class cuisine influenced by the Checoskovakian roots of the family! Thanks for your hospitality, your German guests on 25/26th August
