This old-fashioned resort with a dozen cabins appeals to kids (and parents) with its location on the Fall River, a great playground and wildlife from raccoons at the hummingbird feeder to elk that wander through from the adjacent national park.

Having stayed in a few different Estes Park cabins, Pine Haven best to date. Super comfy bed & bedding, (finally!) adequate kitchen supplies to cook for yourself v. eating out, clean, cozy, and owners have given thought to decor v. ridiculous bric-a-brac. Cabin s are close to one another, but there seems to be an unspoken respect for privacy among guests, with healthy greetings to each other as well. Recommend!

We LOVED our stay at Pine Haven! This is a great location...very close to the lovely, touristy town/riverwalk area of Estes Park and just a few miles to the entrance of RMNP. It has a camp feel, complete with firepits & the Fall River running through, but all the amenities of a hotel. The Birdhouse Cabin was so cute & we loved sitting on tbe porch & deck with both a woods & mountain view. We met our "neighbors" & sat around the fire together in the evenings. I loved sitting with coffee by the river & my husband loved hiking up the trail behind our cabin to the overlook and Oldman Mountain. Staff was extremely friendly. We looked at other lodging & we are SO glad we chose Pine Haven. Highly recommend...we will definitely be back!
