Located on the banks of the beautiful Chena River, this family-run lodge bills itself as “the friendliest hotel in Fairbanks.” You’ll find great service, comfortable rooms, scenic views and a number of fun onsite activities. You can choose to stay in one of the 180 rooms in the main lodge, or one of 28 private log cabins on the property. The Double Queen Cabin is ideal for a small family, and includes a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Make sure to ask for a riverside cabin, where you can sit on your private deck and watch the boats go by. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi and a free breakfast buffet.
Pike’s Waterfront Lodge is in a quiet riverside area just a few minutes from the Fairbanks Airport. The manicured grounds offer a riverwalk, putting green, bocce ball and even a 9-hole miniature golf course. There are two onsite restaurants, one of which includes a spacious outdoor deck hanging over the water. There are a number of casual and fine-dining eateries within a few minutes of your hotel. Kids will want to spend every day of their vacation exploring Pioneer Park, the historically-themed city park that includes museums, train rides, a ghost town and one of the biggest playgrounds in Fairbanks. Only a mile from your hotel is the Riverboat Discovery, an old-fashioned paddle wheeler that offers a fun and educational three-hour tour on the Chena River. The family-friendly cabins and activities at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge make it a great place to stay during your vacation to Fairbanks.

Pike's is a great little hotel, charming and eclectic and comfortable. Our visit was off-season so it's no surprise that there was no waiting for the fitness center, for instance, or trouble with parking. When I lived in Fairbanks I spent many a summer evening on the deck of the restaurant but had never had reason to use the hotel. It was nice, returning for a work trip, to find the hotel so pleasant and accommodating.

Loved everything about this place. Just wished the steam room was working and breakfast was a bit better. Restaurant next door was convenient. Ice cream and cookies were a nice treat. Great location. We actually had to change our reservations and the customer service was great.
