The place is very clean, the rooms are big and convenient, the bed is just incredible. We spent 5 days there for our wedding anniversary. Ana Dekker made everything wonderful for this special occasion (Halloween pumpkins, champagne, cookies & cakes in our room). What we really enjoyed is the fact that she really took a special care of us.
We'll definitely go back there next time we're in NYC.

We stayed at The Pierre for marathon weekend. The Pierre is beautiful and the location is amazing. Everyone was extremely warm and welcoming. We traveled with our 20 month old daughter, and they ensured we had everything we needed for her. We booked our stay with AMEX FHR. It was a very crowded weekend for the property, so an upgrade was not available, which would’ve been nice but certainly was not a problem. I found it odd that we did not have an iron or ironing board in the room. However, we called and requested both, and they were delivered promptly. It was also strange that an in-room coffee station was not available, and the lobby coffee station was not available after 7:00 AM. Breakfast at The Perrine was ok, but nothing special. You can find much better for the price.
We had one unfortunate incident during our stay. We reported a housekeeping issue the morning after we had checked in the previous evening. Without going into unnecessary details, we simply asked housekeeping to address a minor issue in the bathroom, and the issue was promptly addressed. Later, on two separate occasions, housekeeping addressed both my wife and myself insinuating that we were responsible for the issue...essentially denying any responsibility from housekeeping staff. Based on our clearly visible personal attributes, it was obviously not an issue of our own creation. Regardless, it was not an encounter one would expect when staying at a property of this caliber.
Overall, we had an excellent stay. The Pierre is luxurious yet unpretentious, which made our marathon weekend especially comfortable. We will certainly consider The Pierre the next time we are in the city.
