Overview

The Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina sits right on the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale. Besides a beautiful location right on the marina, this resort hotel offers a myriad of fun activities and family-friendly amenities. The hotel has a large heated pool with a waterfall you can swim under, a smaller pool with a volleyball net, and a spa hot tub that can fit up to 40 people at once. Families can rent a private deluxe poolside cabana while staff attendants will cater to your needs. Swimming will work up an appetite, and you can eat at one of the hotel’s four restaurants.

The hotel provides cribs, but if you don’t want to lug around the rest of your baby accessories, you can use Babies Travel Lite, a program where you can shop for all your baby needs from diapers to strollers online. They’ll meet you there!

The hotel offers a free shuttle every hour to the nearest beach. Other options for tooling around Fort Lauderdale are the Sun Trolley, which costs 50 cents, and the public waterbus transit that stops right at the marina. The South Florida area has many exciting attractions like the Port Everglades and the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Right outside your room, pier Sixty-Six hosts an Aquatic Center managed by Club Nautico. Here you can rent any type of equipment for water-related adventures. From boats, to ocean kayak to snorkeling gear, the Aquatic Center has you covered. You can even stay at the marina, and receive resort treatment from the hotel on your boat!

Best food and best service.

We went there as a family and I cannot say enough about the service. From the time you are seated, you are treated like royalty. The food is THE BEST!! If 5 stars is the best there is, then this place gets 6 stars. You will not be disappointed. Many celebrities who pass through South Florida eat here, Steven Spielberg is known to keep his yacht at the marina there, and the view of the marina and the water is breathtaking. Ambiance is most romantic. Both the Filet Mignon and lobster are excellent. This is a must do if you are in South Florida; it is located off of A1A in Fort Lauderdale.

Great Pool, Good vibe, getting dated though

This was my second stay at Pier 66 and I do like the hotel. The location is good, the pool area is awesome but I just feel the rooms could do with some money spent on them.

Maybe it’s just the rooms I’ve stayed in though (usually down by the pool)
