We love staying at historic hotels. The lobby and common areas are gorgeous. We had a couple of issues that the hotel worked to quickly resolve - we had requested and paid for a lake view room, but upon arrival didn't get that. They were able to move us the following day. We were in a tower room, which was nicely decorated. The shower could have used a good scrub which is why we rated this just average, especially when you're paying nearly $400 per night. Also, the walls are a bit thin - understandable for an older hotel, but we could easily hear our neighbors who must have been away on a romantic weekend.

Hotel very very nice, with style, ad when it has been made, very little but nice pool at last floor with a wonderful view... nice spa, treatment with private shower and champange to drink... so what... a gasoline smell at our floor, so strong that we need to wash our pigiamas after that... a smell in our noise during the night and all day long after... what’s happened?!?
