Worst Hotel EVER

Worst hotel we EVER BEEN! Stay away!
It seems that the hotel owners neglected this hotel few years ago and the facilities are just horrible.
The rooms are poorly maintained (lights not working, bathroom ventilation is either noisy or not working, broken tiles in the bathrooms, etc.) In addition, one of the elevators wasn't working.. meaning that we waited 5-15(!!!) minutes every time for an elevator.
The hotel guests were pissed and stressed and the staff (no matter how nice they were) didn't managed to help us.
We asked to change a room to a lower floor (guess what, also not functioning so they needed to replace the lights in the room again).
Breakfast is very poor, the hotel pool is not clean (we asked several times to clean it) - to sum up, the hotel is just a DISASTER! Do yourself a favor and stay away!

We've stayed in a group of 6 men (4 rooms) along 3 nights last week, for business purposes. The double rooms have been offered with queen bedrooms (!); with 3 (three) elevators, just 1 (one) was regularly in service (including rushing times), and one of our pals was kept locked at a broken elevator for about one hour (!); room's a/c was not working (that forced me to ask to replace the room); the breakfast, as well as the cleaning are absolutely average, and at the outside area of the restaurant one share his/her meal with pigeons; overall maintenance is just awful: all these made me ask if the hotel has a General Manager !!! I strongly recommend Pestana's top management to close the facility immediately for maintenance, repair and retrofit, as the location is outstanding, either for business or vacation purposes. Let's be more professional, gentlemen !!!
