The Peninsula Chicago is a 5-star luxury hotel that offers families just about everything they could want — wonderful location in the heart of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, luxurious amenities and top-tier accommodations, and enough kid-focused entertainment to keep every family coming back.

The Peninsula Chicago’s 339 rooms come in a variety of layouts, ranging from Superior Rooms, with one king bed, to junior suites, with one king bed and a pullout sofa, to the Peninsula Suite, with three full bed rooms, two bathrooms, a living room with a baby grand piano and a wrap-around terrace. From mild to wild, The Peninsula Chicago has it all. Each room also includes, at the very least, a full marble bath (some with inset TV’s), individual climate control, multi-function bedside controls, a fully stocked mini-bar, luxurious linens and an oversized executive work desk.

Upon check-in, kids are offered a platter of chocolates, cookies and other sweets. They’ll also love being enrolled in one of The Peninsula Academy’s many programs, geared toward introducing the family’s younger members to the world’s of art, architecture and culture of the Windy City. Programs include Princess For a Day: How to be a Perfect Princess, Broadway in Chicago: Exceptional Seats to Preferred Performances, Chicago Fire House Excursion: For Young Firefighters-In-Training and Little Bakers: Pastry Class For Aspiring Chefs.

Amazing service

I stayed here in mid-October and again in the beginning of Nov 2019. Both trips were over the weekend. The service is exemplary. The staff went out of their way to do whatever was necessary to make our stay better; it was greatly appreciated. For my second stay, I booked a suite and received the house car to myself for three hours each day. The cars are cool, and the driver was polite, funny, and very knowledgeable. As one could expect, the rooms were amazing, as was the hotel's location.

The only "issue" I had was with The Lobby Restaurant. The service was consistently slow, and, although the restaurant staff were friendly, they were not up-to-par with the Peninsula brand and the rest of the staff at the hotel.

Nonetheless, I visit Chicago 6-7 times a year, and now won't even consider staying anywhere but the Peninsula.

Absolutely fantastic Hotel

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary in October, 2019 in room 1115.
I've been lucky enough to stay in some beautiful hotels all over the world, however, this hotel is by some distance, the best I have ever stayed in.
It is absolutely fantastic from the moment you pull up at the door right up to the time you leave. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the Staff there. They are attentive but certainly not intrusive. The bedrooms are spotless, as is the rest of the building.
I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!
The attractions are in walking distance; Navy pier is about a 15 minute walk away on a flat pavement, as are the Hancock Tower (Bar 92 is a great visit) and the Willis Tower.

I paid full price for our holiday and have received no incentive to promote this Hotel. Just go and see it for yourself!
