Overview

Puerto Penasco, or Rocky Point, Mexico, features Penasco del Sol Hotel, the only beachfront hotel within walking distance of the town’s downtown attractions and restaurants. More than 200 newly renovated guest rooms are available, with Family Suites providing two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchenette with refrigerator to sleep four with ocean views. Two queen bed rooms are also available to sleep four. Guests of the hotel can dine in the hotel’s Miguel’s Restaurant, which serves Mexican and American cuisine. An Oceanside swimming pool and a beach club with drinks are also features of the hotel.

All of the employees were nice and friendly. Room was clean and large. I would return again if the time is right. Front desk gentleman took care of us I had put in the wrong date for reservations. They were able to accommodate us.

First time in Mexico

What a pleasant surprise! The staff spoke english very well and were absolutely the nicest folks. The room was beautiful and if I had to be picky, the warm water took a while to arrive when turning on the shower, and the floor drain was clogged. However, that was overshadowed by a nice facility and a welcoming staff. I will definitely stay here when i come back.
The Border coming back was a breeze and I've heard some stories about 8 hour waits. Middle of the week and early is the way to go. Border open from 6am-midnight
