For atmosphere, ambiance and location, this beautiful hotel in the historical center of Cusco ticks all the boxes. Staff make you comfortable with an offer of coca leaf tea to help aid with altitude sickness on arrival, and many of the 203 rooms look onto the neighboring square and cathedral. Breakfast overlooking the outdoor courtyard is a special way to start each day, with American and European foods sharing the buffet with Latin American favorites. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and there’s an onsite fitness center and spa, too.

Luxury is the only way to describe it!

Impeccable service from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. The hotel itself is breathtakingly gorgeous in the rooms and shared areas. They offer many cultural activities as well including a Pisco sour class and free walking tour. The breakfast buffet is unbelievable including plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free eaters. I think we stayed at breakfast for two hours!! The beds are also so comfy and very clean. If you want a luxurious stay in Cusco, stay here.

Not To The Standard of a Luxury Collection Hotel

This property is amazing in its historic significance, but if you take this away, this hotel does not equate to a Luxury Collection Hotel. While the staff at the front desk and concierge were nice and helpful, we found there to be terrible service at the breakfast at the hotel. We also found the restaurant and the rooms to be poorly decorated and dated (think 1980's or 1990's) along with a super small bathroom. The location is superb but there are other choices with same or better location.
